Overview

The founder and sole owner of the firm is attorney Garry Edmondson. He works closely with his associates, Alex Edmondson, Jason Reed, and Sharon Yelton, and his administrative assistant Ronna Eldridge.  Since graduating from Holmes High School in 1965, Garry has pursued a career as both a lawyer and a public servant. He went to the University of Kentucky for his undergraduate degree. Garry graduated from UK Law School 1972, and he was admitted to the Bar later that year.

Initially, Garry practiced with Spalding, Bubenzer and Grause. Since opening Edmondson Law in 1975 Garry has represented every kind of public entity – from cities to school boards – and continues do so along with Alex, Jason, and Sharon.

In 1993 the citizens of Kenton County elected Garry to serve as the Kenton County Attorney. He continues to serve in that capacity.

But Garry’s community involvement extends well beyond the political realm. He has also given freely of his time to community organizations, having served as a member of the Northern Kentucky Mental Health Association, the Optimist Club, Ft. Mitchell Lions Club and Covington Lions Clubs. He has been District Chairman for the Boy Scouts of America, Assistant Scout Master; and a grade school basketball coach at his parish, St Agnes Church in Ft. Wright.

In recognition of his hard work, Garry has received a variety of local, regional and statewide awards, including County Attorney of the Year, a Recognition Award from Northern Kentucky Right To Life, a Citizens For Community Values Recognition of Achievement and an Award of Merit from the Boy Scouts of America. One of Garry’s most memorable events was several years ago when he was asked by the Covington School Board to deliver the Commencement Address to the graduating seniors at Holmes.

His associates have followed his example and likewise serve their communities through non-profit board service and volunteerism.
